Repair Cafes Featured at this year's UlsterCorps Service Summit
Holly Shader (organizer, Gardiner and New Paltz) Michelle Elise (zipper fixer), Melissa Iachetta (co-organizer, Kingston) and Suzie Fromer (coordinator, RCHV) were all present at last week’s UlsterCorps Service Summit at SUNY New Paltz which focused on environmental volunteering and activism. Warwick Repair Cafe Highlighted for Building Human Connections in the Warwick Advertiser
The Warwick Repair Cafe was the inspiration for this beautiful piece in the March 22nd issue of the Warwick Advertiser that tells the story about how the cafe connected the a knife sharpening repair coach with an interested teen on the Autism spectrum who then trained to become a coach himself.
