The Town of Mamaroneck Repair Cafe is a neighborhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out! Residents of Larchmont/Mamaroneck can bring a broken item to fix for FREE with the help of skilled volunteers who are also your neighbors!

The Repair Cafe is organized by the Town of Mamaroneck Sustainability Collaborative. The Sustainability Collaborative is a volunteer committee created to advise the Town on environmental issues. 

We are looking for residents who enjoy sharing their skills with their neighbors. For example, are you handy with: * clothing / textile * bicycles * electrical appliances * jewelry repair * electronics?

We are also looking for people who wish to fulfill the role of host / hostess. We’ll have baked goods and healthy snacks to welcome visitors. You’ll serve as a contact point for both visitors and repairers in the Repair Cafe.

In addition to the Repair Cafe, the committee is working on topics and programs such as Food Waste Recycling, Solar Power, Bike Lanes, Electric Vehicles, Healthy Yards and more.  We are lucky to have a Town Supervisor whose passion is the environment and so, here in the Town of Mamaroneck we are considered to be leaders in these arenas.
