The Beacon Repair Cafe will take place at the Beacon Recreation Center.

BEACON

The Beacon Repair Cafe restarted in 2024 with a group of organizers from Beacon and Fishkill. Events are hosted twice per year at the Beacon Recreation Center.

Beacon’s Repair Cafe was initially organized by Antony Tseng in 2016 and ran events for 3 years at the Howland Cultural Center on Main Street. During this time, the Department of Stuffed Friends was particularly popular! In 2017, the Beacon Housing Authority invited them to set up in the Community Room of the Forrestal Heights Apartments, as part of their Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency program. The program went on hiatus in 2020, and is back in action as of 2024.
