Pleasant Valley

Pleasant Valley is a rural–suburban community distinguished by its three main hamlet areas: Pleasant Valley, Salt Point, and Washington Hollow. Located in the center of Dutchess County it covers a wide area made up of farms, beautiful housing developments and a small town center.

Spearheaded by Jean Curlee, with the full support of the Pleasant Valley Climate Smart Task Force, the Pleasant Valley Repair Café finally became a reality on June 4, 2022. It took a little longer than expected due to Covid, but we never stopped working to move the Town closer to becoming a more sustainable community by keeping items out of landfills, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preserving and sharing the skill of repairing in our community.
