The Glens Falls Repair Cafe is held at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls.

GLENS FALLS

The Glens Falls Repair Cafe is hosted by Crandall Public Library and Zero Waste Warren County; the first cafe was held on April 27th in the library’s Christine L. McDonald Community Room. Two additional Repair Cafes will be held at the library in 2024 thanks to a generous grant from the Touba Family Foundation to Zero Waste Warren County which is providing support for these events.

Our purpose is to provide community members with a free alternative to throwing away their broken household and treasured items. Repair Cafes are an opportunity for community members to save money, reduce waste, and connect with other community members at these interactive events.

We are always recruiting more repair coaches who can help fix small appliances, lamps, small pieces of furniture, bicycles, clothing, electronics, jewelry, and more! We also are seeking a few volunteers who would like to help on the day of the event. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Sharon by email at glensfallsrepairs@gmail.com or call her at 518-792-6508 x267 or call Tracy Frisch at 518-692-8242.

How It Works:

  • Bring your clean broken household items - limit of 2-3 items per person

  • Sign in and register to meet with a Repair Coach - 1 repair at a time

  • Work with a Repair Coach to repair or diagnose your item

Plan Ahead - Bring all parts, chords and chargers, etc. Arrive with time to spare!

What We Plan to Fix!
This list represents some of the repair skills we hope to recruit for each Cafe: - Lamps - Clothes - Toys - Jewelry - Tools - Furniture - Bicycles - Vacuum Cleaners - Small appliances - Tools that need sharpening

-And More!
